Start-to-Finish Sunday #35 - Envelope Punch Board and 3x3 Card

Happy Sunday evening my friend! Videos are back - Can't believe I've been absent from YouTube for SO long! Our schedules here are slowing way down, so I hope to get back into sharing videos regularly.

For today, I wanted to share a brand new product from Stampin' Up! This was something they introduced at Convention and it is so awesome!!! It's called the Envelope Punch Board, and you can use it to effortlessly make custom envelopes in no time flat. And you can make 66 different sizes of envelopes with this thing! WOW!

So I decided to start small - literally :) - and make a 3x3 card with a coordinating envelope. I obviously had to use the Magnificent Maple stamp and Sweater Weather DSP - seems I'm a little, um... well, obsessed with this combo!

Stay tuned in the next couple days for some more projects featuring this stamp/DSP combo. I need to force myself to use something else soon! ;)

You can watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. (Remember: you won't find the Envelope Punch Board in any current SU! catalogs. You can find it here: http://bit.ly/1bkHNWj) Oh, and ignore that it says STFS #34 in the video - I didn't catch the mistake until I'd already uploaded it.)

I've also got a great mini-series of Fall/Thanksgiving home decor projects coming up soon... I've got a lot in the works and plan to post one project at a time as I go. I don't want to toot my own horn, but these are some of my favorite projects I've made in a long time! :)

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great week. Happy Stampin'! :)

CCC#008 Cards Challenge: Terrific Texture

Greetings from a Cape Cod September! This is by far my favorite time of year, and we've already had some wonderfully perfect autumn days. Bright blue skies, crisp cool air... And this month's Card Challenge from Catherine and Cathy Create couldn't have been more perfect for how I'm feeling lately.

The Card Challenge this month is all about texture!! As summer winds down, I'm always a little sad because I'm just way too busy to enjoy all that summer offers in this beautiful place I call home. But at the same time, I can feel my soul craving sweaters and scarves, boots crunching through fallen leaves, a cup of tea by the wood stove... When it comes down to it, fall is the season of texture, isn't it? :) So let's get to the card, shall we?

I had so much fun layering on the texture with this project. Lots of layers! :) I started with the Chocolate Chip panel embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder. (I just wish I'd rotated it 180 degrees before I adhered it! All the cute knothole-like parts of the woodgrain are hidden.) Layers of the gorgeous Sweater Weather DSP, gorgeous burlap ribbon, and a cluster of buttons tied with rustic Linen Thread.

Thanks for stopping by today. Now make sure you visit Catherine and Cathy Create to see the other DT members' cards! You'll definitely be inspired, and you'll want to play along with the challenge too, because you could win some great Stampin' Up! goodies! :)

Have a great weekend. Happy Stampin'! :)

CCC #007: Chevrons

It's another month (Can you believe it's September???) and that means another group challenge from Catherine and Cathy Create! This month the challenge is something near and dear to my heart... Chevrons! :) And since the 1st happens to fall on a Sunday, I decided to make my challenge submission this week's Star-to-Finish Sunday card. So I filmed the video but then... Guess what? It was too long - Again! (Feel free to roll your eyes at me.) I really need to work on getting back to basics and making simpler and more accessible projects. My hubby said recently that I'm having a crafting identity crisis, and I think he totally hit the nail on the head! I hate that I've been so absent from YouTube lately, and haven't been sticking to my regular schedule. I'm trying to get back onto it, and I appreciate your sticking with me!

Anyway, on to my chevron card...

I used a really simple and super on-trend ombre inking technique on the Positively Chevron background stamp. Just use three colors of ink to ink up your background stamp, mist it lightly with water to help the colors blend, and stamp! And I decided to fancy things up a little bit more and make this a window card with a fun "floating" sentiment banner.

See how there's a piece of Window Sheet down the center of the card? Fun, huh? :) Here's a closer look at the sentiment...

So anyway, thanks for stopping by today, and I'm super sorry about the lack of video again. And make sure you visit Catherine and Cathy Create to check out the other DT members' projects - trust me, they're good! Then link up your chevron project for a chance to win some Stampin' Up! goodies! :)
