Start-to-Finish Sunday #21 - Sent with Love Card

The Sent with Love collection was one of those things that I fell in love with the instant I saw it. I needed to order it the moment it became available. When it arrived, I gazed at it, I petted it (oh come on, like you don't pet your DSP!), I gazed at it some more, and then I put it away. As much as I adored it, I just couldn't figure out what to do with it! Yesterday, when I filmed this video, was the first time I used this kit! There's this one amazing sheet in the DSP with all these little elements that you can cut out, and I realized that with that one sheet, you can't go wrong with your cards! Cut out a bunch of them, play around with them, see what combos and layers you like, and make a card! What was stopping me all this time??!? ;)

How cute is this card! And SO easy to put together, once I just got started. This kit is so super adorable (red, white, and blue/aqua - my favorite!) and it's SUCH a great deal!

#131847 Sent with Love Stamp Set (clear-mount; English only) $17.95
#132182 Sent with Love Designer Series Paper $10.95
#132851 Sent with Love Bundle $25.50

STFS #20 - Photopolymer Stamps 101 + a Tag from Start to Finish

Exciting news has come down the tube! Meet Stampin' Up's first ever photopolymer (aka "acrylic" or "clear") stamp set! It's called Designer Typeset and it's a great alphabet set with cute accessories like arrows, banners, and flourishes. Here's the scoop:
  • Photopolymer stamps will be offered on a trial basis. Based on popularity, SU! hopes to release more photopolymer stamp sets over the coming months. At this time they don't plan on offering a line of photopolymer sets as expansive as their wood-mount and clear-mount lines.
  • The Designer Typeset stamp set will not be available in wood-mount or clear-mount.
  • All photopolymer will be packaged in a cello bag with insert, but don't forget you can store them in our clear cases.
  • Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set
    Item # 132956
    $13.95

A lot of other companies have this style of stamp, but I know that for those of you who have been longtime Stampin' Up! customers, there may be a little bit of a learning curve. Enter this week's video. The first part of the video is basically a lesson in Photopolymer Stamps 101. The rest of the video demonstrates a fun tag project. You can check out the video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

Enjoy and have a great week! Happy Stampin'! :)

Start-to-Finish Sunday #19 - Blogged on Tuesday! :)

I was so excited when I got my Start-to-Finish Sunday video uploaded before 10 pm on Sunday that I totally forgot about the blog post! Oops! Well, I recently got the Collage Curios stamp set from the Spring Catalog that corresponds with the Soda Pop Tops. So I decided to put the two of them together and make a CAS square card. I recently pinned a card by Arielle Gordon that I absolutely loved and I ended up using as the inspiration for this card.

Anyway, not too much more to say about this card, so check out the video below, or over on my YouTube channel.

Hope you're having a great week! Happy Stampin'! :)

Start-to-Finish Sunday #18 - Sale-a-Bration Birthday Notecard

So a couple reasons behind designing this week's card. First off: I've pretty much been in a funk lately. A craft funk. I've basically been making one card a week  - the one I make for my STFS video. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I'll get in a second card. I partly blame Project Life - I've been really into making my layouts lately so that's the stuff that's always on my desk and it's been what I've been most inspired by. (I meant to photograph my layouts today to share! Hopefully we'll have a sunny afternoon soon and I can get that done.) So sometimes when I'm not feeling very inspired, if I just make something - anything! - I can get the motivation going again. And secondly: Sale-a-Bration is going strong for a little over 2 more weeks! Don't forget - you still have time to get a FREE item for every $50 you purchase from Stampin' Up! :)

Anyway, yeah... not really too much else to say about this card. Super simple. Small and quick and easy to put together. A very useful sketch for whenever you need a last-minute card. Check out the video below, or on my YouTube channel.

Have a great week and Happy Stampin'! :)
