Spring Catalog Sneak Peeks

+ Oh Hello stamp set, Tea for Two DSP +

Happy New Year! Did you have a nice holiday? I certainly did - a little pocket of lovely quiet celebration amid the seasonal craziness! I have so been looking forward to everything quieting down for a couple of months before we have to kick into high gear again in the spring. And now that winter finally seems to be here and calendars are clear and afternoons and evenings are free... Well... Cue creative block! :(

+ Tea for Two DSP, Oh Hello stamp set, Bitty Butterfly punch, Delicate Details Lace Tape +

As if that wasn't bad enough, the Spring Catalog goes live on Wednesday! And let me tell you, it's a good one! So here I am staring down all this glorious new product and I can't figure out what to do with it! :'(

+ More Amore DSP, Designer Builder Brads, Pool Party Core'dinations cardstock, Honeycomb embossing folder +

My grandmother asked me to make a set of cards for a Christmas present for her friend. So I was recently forced to design at least 4 cards. Sorry the pictures aren't very good - I had to take them at the last minute, and it was in the evening.

+ More Amore DSP, Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Framelits, Pool Party embossing powder +
(This one's my favorite out of the set I made. And the worst photo! I'll try to make it again and take a better picture.)

Oh, and don't forget, Sale-a-Bration is coming! This is, in my opinion, the best promotion Stampin' Up! does all year. It runs January 22 through March 22. During that time, for every $50 you spend - whether from the Spring Catalog or from the main annual catalog - you get to choose any one of the exclusive, limited edition Sale-a-Bration items for FREE! There are stamp sets, designer paper, a gorgeous button and ribbon pack (with three spools of ribbon!), digital downloads, all sorts of good stuff! :) I'll share more projects with these awesome goodies coming up soon. If you need a brochure, click the link in the sidebar to the right, or contact me and I'll send you one!

Merry Christmas!

Merriest Christmas Wishes!

I hope you have a wonderful day
celebrating with your friends and family!

I've been trying to spend some time lately playing with the things I pre-ordered from the new Spring Catalog that will be available on January 3rd. Needless to say, I haven't had a lot of time, and I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to share what I have done. This is a Christmas card I made for a co-worker who just had her 4th baby boy. The stamps are all from a brand new set in the Spring Catalog called Henry Says. Isn't Henry just adorable?! I couldn't resist making a Christmas card - he may be in the Spring catalog, but there's a great assortment of holiday accessories that he comes with! :)

Countdown to Christmas - Mini Gift/Treat Bag

Here's another last-minute Christmas idea for you: an adorable and quick to put together gift bag or treat package. I love this one - I've used it for party favors and, well, let's just say I hope my sister-in-law (*Jill*) doesn't read my blog or watch my videos! :)

You could also punch holes in the front and back and tie a ribbon through to make two handles like you'd have on a "regular" gift bag. This one's perfect for some little treats (I used Hershey's Kisses) or a small gift.

Watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel. Once you get the hang of these little bags they come together very quickly.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very Merry Christmas!

Last-Minute Christmas Card Ideas

Just a quick post for you with a few Christmas cards I haven't shared yet. With Christmas coming up so fast and so much still to do, I haven't had a chance to put supply lists together. So if you have any questions about what I used, please don't hesitate to contact me!

This one was a fun one to make. Plus I like that it's not the typical red and green color combo. And see those fancy scallops I stamped on the Cherry Cobbler panel? Can you guess what those are? Well, believe it or not, that's the peacock image from World Treasures (also available as a single stamp through January 2, 2013)! Just hide the peacock's head and body under another panel and you've got a great border!

This was actually going to be my Christmas card this year, but it was just too much work. Then it was going to be my next Think Outside the Jar card, but I just ran out of time! The good news is that the Perfectly Preserved stamp set and Framelits are still going to be available even after the Holiday Catalog ends on January 2nd! Love these! I made a shaker card and punched stars and a heart out of glimmer paper to put in the shaker. Cute!

Countdown to Christmas - Tag with 3D Ornament Embellishment

Hey there! Happy Saturday-Before-Christmas! Can you believe how close it is?! :) I've got a few posts coming up for you this weekend. I've been working on some last-minute Christmas projects recently and I just haven't gotten around to posting them! So I hope you enjoy.

Tonight's project is this fun and simple little tag. I can't be the only one with wrapping left to do, right? ;) I love the idea of the little 3D ornament embellishment, plus the added texture from the glimmer paper and the embossing.

Check out the video if you like the looks of this tag. Hope it gives you some ideas to help finish up your wrapping! (You can also see this and my other videos on my YouTube channel.)

Don't forget! The Stampin' Up! Holiday 2012 Catalog is only available through January 2, 2013. So if you like any of these products, be sure to visit my website or contact me to place an order!

Festive "Box Bag" Treat Container

Ready for another awesome Christmas packaging idea?

This is one of my all-time favorite containers. I've seen it referred to as a "box bag," a "bag box," and a "box in a bag"! Whatever you want to call it, it's definitely totes adorbs! :) And I decided to give it a festive twist by using the gorgeous flocked window sheet from the Candlelight Christmas DSP collection. I love the look because it really lets your treats shine - whether handmade or store-bought, this is a great way to showcase a fun and thoughtful little gift. I also used my new favorite holiday color combo on this project - Whisper White, Real Red, Gumball Green, and Pool Party - plus a little splash of silver!

You can use any DSP on this project - you don't have to use the window sheet. I just need to stress that no matter what you use for the "bag" part, the base needs to be cardstock. This one is wicked easy to put together, but hard to figure out from a photo, so I did make a video. Check it out below, or over on my YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy Stampin'! :)
