Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #68

Wahoo look at me go! I'm really on a roll with these PTI challenges, huh? :) I'm really into the "zone" of the Papertrey style, though, and I have to say their inks are some of the best I've ever worked with!

So this week's challenge was to create a pocket card. My first thought was, "a pocket to put a gift card in!" Plus, I was inspired by this card that I pinned from Nichole Heady's blog during the February release countdown. So here's what I came up with. (And I know I've shown you other coffee-themed gift card projects in the past. Please forgive me.)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a lovely holiday weekend!

Make It Monday #66

Hello! I'm still here! Ok, ok, ok, so I've taken a few days off and I haven't exactly been making a card every day... but I really do have a bunch made that I need to catch you up on. I'm realizing that the hardest part of this isn't to make a card every day, but rather to photograph and post a card every day. I really can't take pictures after dark. I need to rig up a light box. But no matter what, I'm determined to have made 31 cards by May 31st!

So last Monday's Make It Monday challenged us to make felt flowers from PTI border dies. This one was a fun one! :)

So, thanks for sticking with me friends, even though it's the 17th and I've only posted 9 cards. More to come, more to come!

Make It Monday #65

I'm still going strong with my very small collection of PTI stamps - I hope you're not getting bored, but I'm really feeling food about this because I've spent hundreds of dollars on these sets and I've barely used them at all!

In last week's Make It Monday video, Dawn McVey shared a card project that used strips of paper layered into a background. I love this technique, and I've used it a bunch of times. I didn't have PTI patterned paper, like she used, but I dug through my strap basket and pulled out a bunch of papers that coordinated with the Strawberry Patch stamp set. I decided to use the Wine Bottle Tag die (totally my fave!) to make a cute tag for the bottle of wine I gave my mom for Mother's Day.

I'll be back later on to catch up with all the cards I haven't shown you yet :)
