Playing Catch Up!

Hey there! Happy Monday. Hope your week is off to a great start! :) Anyway, I posted a project on my YouTube channel a while ago and I keep forgetting to post it here on the old blog-o with the supply list. This is a great project, if I may say so myself - super cute and super easy!

There's this amazing sheet in the Snow Festival Designer Series Paper collection that's made up of adorable 3x3 images. It's perfect for 3x3 tags or enclosure cards like I chose to make. And I also decided to show you a coordinating mini box so you can make your gift cards into a little present!

Remember: You get TWO of each paper in the collection, so that's a total of 32 of these little 3x3 images. Multiple gifts from just one DSP purchase? Awesome! I also share some tips in the video for how to personalize the little images to make them just that much more special.

This is a great project for your own gift wrapping - Come on, I can't be the only one who dreams of coordinated presents organized around a different theme/color scheme each year! :) It's also a great one to have on hand in case any friends or family members appear at your door this holiday season, or you get invited to a last-minute party.

The videos are posted below, and can also be found on my YouTube channel. There are two videos: #1 How to create the box and #2 Tips for personalizing the tags. Enjoy!

Happy Stampin'! :)

CAS Christmas

Hey there! How's your week going so far? Are you all decorated for Christmas? My house isn't by a long shot but we're working on it! :)

Quick post today to share this super simple CAS Christmas card using the First Christmas stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. I love this set and the bold silhouette-style images make CAS cards even simpler to make - and to mass produce! - because you don't have to do any coloring or multi-color inking. I really like this card also because it uses something other than the typical red-green color combo, but the finished product is still really classic and warm looking. A spritz of shimmer paint mixed with water or rubbing alcohol would be really pretty as a finishing touch on this card too!

Not that you need a video to figure out how I made this card, but I did put one together because I do have some tips to share with you. So go ahead and check it out below, or over on my YouTube channel.

I have a confession to make: I haven't even designed my Christmas card for this year, let alone started making them. And I usually like to have them in the mail by December 5th! So I very sincerely hope to be sharing my 2012 Christmas card with you very very soon! :)

Happy Stampin'! :)

Ornamental Elegance Kit

Ok, now this is COOL! You know that amazing ornament on the front of the Holiday Catalog? I don't know about you, but what kept me from making one myself is that you have to do SO MUCH die cutting. Well, Stampin' Up! received such an overwhelming response to their project that they've assembled kits for it! And all the ornaments are already die cut for you! YAY! :)

Here's how it works: One $14.95 kit has enough supplies to make 10 ornaments - wow! You don't even need the stamp set because the die cut pieces are pre-printed! Here's a look at all the supplies you get in the kit...

So one last time, let me break it down for you: One kit. $14.95. 10 amazing ornaments. That's it. I'm trying to be as honest as possible with you here because my readers and my customers totally rock. This is not a kit that was designed by Stampin' Up! corporate to get me to "upsell" other products to you. This is not a "Hey look at this amazing kit and all you have to do is buy a stamp set and 3 ink pads to be able to use it!" That's why I think this is such an awesome opportunity - and it's only while supplies last! $14.94 for 10 ornaments, that's $1.50 per project. I love giving ornaments - if I can I like to put them on friends' trees when they're not looking! Although this one's pretty good sized so you may not be able to do that! :)

Anyway, if you want to order a kit or two, they're only available until supplies run out (and Stampin' Up! didn't say how many they made!), and it's Item # 132832. All you need to have on hand is a pair of scissors, a hot glue gun (the Silicone Craft Sheet wouldn't hurt either, but then again, I just said I wasn't trying to upsell you anything else!), and a glue stick or snail adhesive.

It's the most wonderful *idea* of the year! :)

** Enabling Alert! **

I am so in love with this idea! Holiday packaging bundles - how great is this!? You get the bag, the tag, and the ribbon, and enough of them to assemble a whole mess of them. Adorable packaging without any of the fuss or guesswork about what will work together. AND you get it at a discount! :) Here are the details:

Petite Treats Bundle
Item # 132770
$13.50 (a $16.85 value)
Includes:

Glassine Bags with die-cut edges (10 bags; 3" x 5" x 1-1/2")
Handmade Holidays Stitched Felt (8 pieces)
Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (10 yards)

How cute would these be as place cards at your holiday party?  Just stamp or write your guests' names on a little piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut it into a banner shape, and tuck it under the knot/bow of the ribbon! Place card and party favor in one! Plus, these aren't just for food gifts. These glassine bags are the perfect size for jewelry! ;)

Trimmings & Tags Bundle
Item # 132769
$13.50 (a $16.85 value)
Includes:

Gusseted Cellophane Bags (25 bags; 5" x 3" x 11-1/2")
Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags (25 double-sided tags; 4-1/2" x 3-1/8")
Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Sweater Trim (10 yards)

This is one loaded kit! You get enough packaging for 25 presents! That's 54¢ apiece! Try getting a gift bag for 54¢ at the grocery store! The cello bags are awesome for all the cereal mixes (I make my brother a batch of Chex Muddy Buddies every single year), spiced candied nuts, cookies, and other treats we love to make this time of year. Come on, don't even tell me you haven't Pinned all sorts of recipes! :)

These kits will be available through January 2, 2013. Let me know if you have any more questions or want to place an order!

Countdown to Christmas - Embossed Frame Mistletoe Card

Hi there! I'm back today with another Christmas card video. This card is very striking, considering how easy it is to make. It's also very adaptable, which makes it an ideal candidate for your family's Christmas card.

I adore this Holiday Frame embossing folder! It is so impactful on clean and simple cards. So little effort for such a beautiful effect! And I normally would not have thought of Wild Wasabi on a card with red, but my upline used this combo on a card and I discovered I loved it!

AND... Can you keep a secret? :-D The oval I used for the focal image is not a Stampin' Up! die... But, we demonstrators have had a preview of the upcoming Spring Catalog and let's just say there might be a set of Framelits that you could use on this card. *wink wink* Unfortunately though, the Spring catalog items won't be available until January, but I'm just sayin'... ;)

Anyway, you can watch the video below, or over on my YouTube channel. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Happy Stampin'! :)
